乡村及北部偏远地区移民试点项目是一个联邦技术移民的新途径，主要由申请人在社区找到相关工作后，由社区担保推荐移民，其目的是繁荣偏远小型社区的经济和改善人口分布。该项目在2019年底由移民部正式公布实施细则。获得此类移民的申请人，需要搬到社区长期生活和工作。当前加拿大移民部已经确定了五省十一个偏远社区首先进行试点该项目。试点项目的特点是申请条件简单，同时审理周期快。该项目分为两个类别：海外申请人和国际留学生。
申请条件：
- 工作经验要求:
– 申请人在提交申请前3年内必须有1年在试点社区的连续全职（1560个小时）工作经验，或同时间长长度的兼职工作经验；志愿者，无工资，或者自雇工作不符合资格；工作职位需要符合加拿大职业分类NOC 0/A/B/C/D当中的任一类（需属于同一类别，可以是不同雇主）;
满足下列学历要求的申请人可以不需要Job Offer和工作经验：
– 为期2年以上的大专课程的学历证书，并且申请人在读期间均为全日制状态；学历是在递交移民申请前的18个月内取得；在过去的24个月中，至少有16个月在试点社区中学习居住以获取您的证书;
或者
– 硕士学位或更高学位的学生，在学位期间一直是全日制状态；学历是在递交移民申请前的18个月内取得；就读项目期间一直在试点社区居住;
- 语言要求:
– 0类及A类职位：CLB 6
– B类职位：CLB 5
– C类及D类职位：CLB 4
- 高中以上学历，海外学历需要WES认证；
- 试点社区雇主的Job Offer（每周至少30小时）且工作为非季节性的；
- 通过移民体检和背景调查;
- 试点社区的项目推荐信;
- 需要拥有至少50% LICO经济类移民的存款要求。

Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot
The Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot is a community-driven program. It’s designed to spread the benefits of economic immigration to smaller communities by creating a path to permanent residence for skilled foreign workers who want to work and live in one of the participating communities.
The requirement for the foreign worker:
- Work experience requirement:
– 1 year of continuous work experience (at least 1,560 hours) in the past 3 years. (exclude self-employer experience and unpaid experience);
Those who meet the following education requirements would not be required to have work experience:
– Student graduated with a credential from a post-secondary program of 2 years or longer; you were studying as a full-time student for the full duration of the 2+ years; received the credential no more than 18 months before your application for permanent residence; were in the community for at least 16 of the last 24 months spent studying to get your credential;
or
– A master’s degree or higher and you were studying as a full-time student for the duration of your degree; got your degree no more than 18 months before your application for permanent residence; were in the community for the length of your studies;
- The minimum language requirements for each NOC category are NOC 0 and A: CLB 6; NOC B: CLB 5; NOC C and D: CLB 4;
- A Canadian secondary school (high school) diploma or above (Foreign education needs WES report to prove)
- Job offer from an employer in one of the participating communities (designated occupations are listed in each participated town’s website);
- Pass the medical exam and security background check;
- The designated community recommendation letter;
- Must meet 50% of the settlement funds requirement (if you have a valid work permit and are working in Canada, you are not required to meet this requirement).
